TokenList Grading System
Our transparent, quantitative framework for assessing project fundamentals.
Core Philosophy
The Legitimacy Grade is not a price prediction; it is a risk assessment of a project's foundational quality. In a noisy market, we provide a clear signal by scoring projects against a public rubric built on four pillars of verifiable data and research.
TEAM
Weight: 30%The single most important factor. We prioritize credible builders with a history of execution and clear accountability.
Public
Score 1: Team is anonymous with no verifiable identity.
Score 5: Team is fully public with strong, verifiable onchain/social history.
Experience
Score 1: No demonstrable track record relevant to their field.
Score 5: Proven history of shipping successful products in web3 or tech.
Transparency
Score 1: Communication is sparse, unprofessional, or avoids difficult questions.
Score 5: Team communicates proactively, professionally, and transparently.
Vision
Score 1: The project's vision is short-term, hype-driven, or a direct copycat.
Score 5: A clear, ambitious, and credible long-term roadmap.
PRODUCT
Weight: 20%A token is only as valuable as the system it powers. We assess if the product is real, functional, and creates tangible value.
Live
Score 1: The product is an idea or landing page with no real functionality.
Score 5: The product is fully live on mainnet and accessible to the public.
Pain Point
Score 1: The product's value proposition is weak, unclear, or a solution seeking a problem.
Score 5: Clearly solves a meaningful pain point for a specific, identifiable audience.
UX
Score 1: The product is buggy, difficult to use, or has a poor user interface.
Score 5: The product is well-designed, intuitive, and provides a smooth experience.
TRACTION
Weight: 20%A product without users has no value. We analyze objective, onchain data to gauge real-world adoption and community engagement.
Metrics
Score 1: Onchain user metrics are negligible or appear inorganic/sybil-attacked.
Score 5: Significant and verifiable onchain activity from unique daily/monthly active users.
Growth
Score 1: Key metrics are stagnant, declining, or reliant on paid incentives.
Score 5: Key metrics show a clear, sustained, and organic growth trajectory.
Community
Score 1: The community is small, disengaged, or entirely focused on price speculation.
Score 5: A large, active community focused on using and improving the product.
TOKENOMICS
Weight: 30%The economic design determines a project's sustainability. We prioritize models that align incentives for the long-term health of the ecosystem.
Launch
Score 1: Private launch heavily allocated to insiders/VCs with short vesting.
Score 5: Public, fair launch with a large portion of supply for the community.
Liquidity
Score 1: Liquidity is low, unlocked, and controlled by the team (high rug risk).
Score 5: A substantial portion of liquidity is locked for 1 year+ or burned.
Utility
Score 1: The token's only function is speculation or vapid governance.
Score 5: Clear, meaningful utility (e.g., fee sharing, work access, protocol security).
Supply
Score 1: High inflation, uncapped supply, or an unclear emission schedule.
Score 5: Fixed supply or a transparent, minimal, and productive inflation model.
